After a few months of mysteries and crossovers, a new campaign kicked off that has gone down the path of one of the most anxiously awaited storylines in this battle royale: the Agency and the Zero Point.
The event was spectacular, also featuring a solo mission in Save the World play mode that finally connected all the invasions of the various universes. Who doesn’t want to see Kratos, the Master Chief and Predator attacking each other in the same scene?
Very important advances in the story without overshadowing the most important part of the battle royale: changes to playability, which keeps evolving and adding a wider variety of elements.
Fortnite Season 6 comes with huge changes to the map. Both the biomes and the landmarks have been completely updated with an even more radical take than the game normally has.
These changes have come with new loot, such as the Bunker chests found in specific areas of the map that always have Epic or Legendary weapons to help you start off the match on the right foot.
Animals have also joined the game, with a starring role. You can hunt them, use them to get materials to craft primitive weapons and even domesticate them so they’ll help you during the match.
It seems Epic Games has liked this development and will continue to explore new creatures to appear in the matches and create challenges involving them, at least for the rest of this Fortnite season.
Plus, primitive weapons have revolutionised the game. They have better effects and bring more variety to each match since they depend on what you’ve hunted and can give you very good enhancements.
Some of the elements that have been with us for a while now are still around, too, such as the NPC you can buy materials for. This addition is becoming a classic and has been expanded in this new campaign.
As always, the Fortnite seasons are expanded as they go on. This time, everything points to this being a transition period after finishing once and for all with the Zero Point. But that doesn’t mean there won’t be lots of new stuff.
It’s time for Epic Games to lay the groundwork for a new episode in the story of Agent Jonesy on the island, and no one knows what they’ll surprise us with after all the twists and turns in the story in recent years.
For now, we have more than enough to entertain us until June, when Season 7 of this ever-surprising battle royale is supposed to start.
Until then, we’ll just have to content ourselves with the new playable add-ons. And there are quite a few of them. They come with the classic Battle Pass that is almost essential to make the season more interesting.
During Season 6, we have the Lara Croft skin and speculation even has it that Neymar Jr. may make an appearance sometime these weeks as a new skin in Fortnite.
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t played in a while or never have before: Fortnite Season 6 is available now and you should give it a chance.
